PRESSED GLASS BOWL PAIR IN TWO BLUE TONES
Description
A pressed glass bowl from early–mid 20th century Japan, originally crafted as a shaved ice cup. Loved by collectors in Japan for its distinct Showa-era charm, it carries the gentle nostalgia of everyday tableware from that time.
Its two soft blue tones and flower-shaped form give each bowl a quietly inviting presence. Made using traditional pressed-glass methods—a practical technique that shapes molten glass in metal molds—these bowls naturally show slight variations in shape, hue, and the expression of the flower motif. Light surface lines or small “burrs” along the rim are also part of the process, adding to the character of each piece.
* Each bowl has small differences in the flower pattern, size, and coloration. We hope the photo
